School Board Vacancy
Montrose School Board is taking applications to fill a 1-year board vacancy due to a resignation.
Applications can be picked up at the school business office.
Applications must be returned to the school business office by 3:00pm, June 5th, 2024
For fans traveling to Castlewood for tonight's SoDak 16 SB game, please don't park on the grass surrounding the SB field. It's ready to go, but the grass surrounding it is still pretty saturated. They are working to get it blocked off but wanted us to be aware as well.
The Montrose FFA Chapter will be continuing the backpack program. The backpack program will provide healthy food items for families in need over the summer. Pickup will be every Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Montrose Catholic Church Hall. The program will run from June 5th to July 31st. Sign ups for Summer Band Lessons are due by Friday May 24th -- times are still available! It's a great opportunity to continue music during the summer months! Any questions or to sign up, please contact Stephanie Smith.
Lessons are offered at no cost to the student.

Tonight's SoDak 16 Softball game at Castlewood has been postponed to Wednesday, May 22 at 5:30pm.
The MCM Golf team competed in the Region 3B Tournament today in Hartford. Qualifying for the State Tournament was Liam Rayman, Mason Sabers, Khloie Klinkhammer, Lauren Roling, and Maddy Lauck, congrats!
The MCM Softball team has qualified for the SoDak 16 on Tuesday, May 21. We'll play against Castlewood at Castlewood with first pitch scheduled for 5:30pm. Good luck to the Fighting Cougars!

8th grade Ag class researched dog breeds and each student created a life size version of their breed. They then had to participate in a dog show by walking their dog in a pattern and answering questions about their dog to the judge. The Bernese Mountain Dog won Best in Show!
2nd and 4th grade reading buddies together for the last time.
On Wednesdays, 8th graders wear Pink! Ending the year with some color!
