5th grade has been learning about aspects of plants, including how they gain matter as well as components a plant needs for growth. In this experiment, they were finding different ways to measure pumpkins to determine the amount of matter they contain. Hands-on learning with a fall theme! 🎃

The marching band festival on Friday October 4th, 2024 will be live streamed on the Chester Area School Facebook page. Parade will start at 10 am and Montrose is the 7th group to perform. There are 22 bands total that will represent their respective schools and music programs with a great day of music!

Congratulations to the Montrose Marching Irish placing 3rd in the Traditional Division at the Watchdog Marching Festival in Beresford on Friday September 27 2024, finishing only 0.6 points behind the 2nd place band in our division. Congratulations also to the Montrose Color Guard who placed 2nd in our division, only 0.5 points behind the 1st place color guard in our division! The next marching band competition will be on Friday October 4th at the Lake Area Festival of Bands in Chester.
