Advancing to the Region Oral Interp Competition on November 19th are Kiera in Serious Reading and the Readers Theatre team of Zoey, Kaydence, Logan, Kylie, and Olivia! The duet of Kaydence and Logan and Kaydence in Poetry Reading are both the alternates in their categories for the competition as well. Congratulations on advancing and good luck at Regions!
Big weekend for the Montrose Music Department! Our quartet worked hard all weekend to put on a beautiful concert with 900 students from across the state. We also received an award for having about 80% of our high school involved in music. We are so proud of our students!

The Montrose Music Department is selling MCM Fighting Cougar blankets for their winter fundraiser! Each plush blanket is 60" x 70" and will be $40. Pre-orders and payment are due by Friday November 8th 2024 to ensure delivery before Christmas. These would make great Christmas gifts! Order forms can be returned to Mrs. Hofer or Mrs. Smith. 5th grade has been learning about aspects of plants, including how they gain matter as well as components a plant needs for growth. In this experiment, they were finding different ways to measure pumpkins to determine the amount of matter they contain. Hands-on learning with a fall theme! 🎃

Montrose Oral Interp attended the Big East Conference Tournament in Sioux Valley on October 14th. Awards were also given for the top six in each category. Kaydence placed 3rd in Poetry!
