Montrose had 12 students participating in 6 events at the Solo & Ensemble Contest held in Salem on April 26th, 2025. Students could participate in solos, ensembles, or both and rehearsed outside of their normal rehearsal and lesson times for this event. Students performed for a judge and received a rating. Montrose students achieved 4 superior ratings and 2 excellent ratings. CONGRATULATIONS!

Montrose Takes First Place at Quiz Bowl Competition
Montrose MS students competed in the Big East Conference Quiz Bowl on Monday, March 31 in Baltic. They competed against five other MS teams from the Big East Conference. Students were challenged to recall facts, analyze complex problems, and apply their knowledge across various subjects. After five rounds of questions, Montrose came home with 1st place! Congratulations Will, Caleb, Connor, and Xander!

This past Wednesday, the 6th-8th student traveled to Flandreau for the BEC Middle School Large Group Music Contest. Both the band and choir recieved Excellent ratings. We are so proud of our musician!
