High school math classes decorated a festive "geometree" with mathematical shapes. Geometric solids such as pentagons, pyramids, cones, cubes (and more) make our tree both beautiful AND educational!

Conceptual Physics learned about energy transfers and energy transformation by designing an app to calculate the needed string to be added to a bungee to provide a safe and thrilling jump. They got to test their app today!


On Thursday, November 21, the 5th graders at Montrose participated in their DARE graduation ceremony at the McCook Central gym. Officer Anna distributed their diplomas after 10 weeks of instruction on how to make good decisions. Congratulations 5th graders!



Prom Fundraiser starting next week through January! On the last two days of the school week, the Juniors will be serving hot chocolate in the mornings before school.


On Wednesday, November 20th, 5th grade had the opportunity to learn about electricity from Southeast Electric Cooperative. Students learned the difference between static electricity and man-made electricity. They learned how to be safe around electrical energy sources and had some fun playing with static electricity. A big thank you to Southeastern Electric Cooperative for putting on this program for our fifth graders!
